The Food Systems Transformation Group at the University of Oxford will lead a major new scoping project exploring how the Wellcome Trust can most effectively support action-oriented research on sustainable and healthy food systems across the UK and Europe.
The project, running from July 2025 to March 2026, will be led by Dr Monika Zurek in collaboration with partners including ECI’s research collaborative unit TABLE, City St George’s, University of London, Wageningen University and Research and the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). Through desk-based research, interviews, and workshops, the project aims to strengthen the link between evidence and action—supporting Wellcome’s goal of placing health at the centre of climate change solutions.
