Mapping pathways to net-zero energy systems. Ensuring power networks are resilient to climate change
Overview
We build models of energy systems to inform planning and management of energy infrastructure with a vision to realise a net-zero economy and resilient energy supplies. We deploy our energy models to net-zero investment pathways across the world, as well as study the economic benefits of strategies such as demand-side response. We study the interdependencies between energy and water systems. We examine the exposure of energy networks to climatic extremes and use that information to prioritise actions that will make energy networks more resilient.
