I am interested in the role of coastal ecosystems as nature-based solutions for climate risk adaptation and mitigation. My current research focuses on their use in storm protection, particularly in quantifying how the ecosystems' own resilience influences their functionality. I am also passionate about advancing Earth and data science methodologies to enhance our understanding of coastal ecosystem dynamics on regional and global scales.
