Profile

Carlyn is the Communications and Events Manager for the Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery. She is passionate about the natural world, and enjoys finding new ways of communicating the impactful scientific research being carried out across the Centre. She loves convening workshops and hosting events, and she is particularly keen to support capacity development wherever she can. She is delighted to have arranged many training and outreach events, specifically designed to promote the role of women and non-binary scientists and the research they do.

Prior joining the Centre, Carlyn worked in the PR industry for 15 years, before taking a Masters in Conservation Science. Since then, she has been working for a small NGO overseeing conservation strategy and programmes. Additionally, since 2015 she has been working at the University coordinating outreach and events for various biodiversity programmes.
