Three years since its launch, Energy Superhub Oxford is delivering on its promise to accelerate Oxford’s transition to net zero. The hub has charged over 137,000 electric vehicles—equivalent to nearly 15 million electric miles—and saved more than 3,500 tonnes of carbon emissions.

Located at Redbridge Park & Ride, the site is one of the UK’s most powerful EV charging hubs and part of a £41m world-first project bringing together innovative energy storage, low-carbon heating, and smart grid technology.

The Energy Superhub Oxford project was a collaboration between Oxford City Council, EDF Renewables UK, Habitat Energy, Invinity Energy Systems, Kensa, and the University of Oxford, including researchers at the Environmental Change Institute and the Department of Engineering Science.
