A new blog from the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology (CST) explores how the UK can strengthen its resilience to the impacts of climate change, including flooding, drought, heatwaves and wildfires.
The blog, Climate adaptation: strengthening the UK’s resilience to climate change, highlights the need to move beyond policy commitments and take practical action to prepare for the risks posed by a changing climate.
Professor Jim Hall, Professor of Climate and Environmental Risks at the Environmental Change Institute (ECI), and lead of the Oxford Programme for Sustainable Infrastructure Systems (OPSIS), is a member of the CST and led the Council’s analysis and recommendations on adaptation and climate resilience.
The blog is one of the first posts published on the CST’s new GOV.UK-hosted platform, which shares insights into the Council’s projects, engagements and impact.
