Sarah Higginson is an interdisciplinary researcher whose academic work has focused on the timing of energy demand. In particular, she is interested in how adopting flexible energy use practices affects people’s day-to-day lives. Before working in academia, she worked in NGOs where she designed and facilitated participatory processes to facilitate conversations between various stakeholders on a broad range of sustainability topics including climate change, sustainable development, regeneration, community development, evaluation, developing indicators, local economic development, democratic engagement and business coaching.
She also ran a small family trust, which focused on empowering women in the global south, mostly in very challenging conflict zones. Her current work on CREDS as a Research Knowledge Exchange Manager allows her to combine all this experience. Sarah also runs her own guesthouse business in Herefordshire.
