Profile
I previously worked on science and technology policy making at the state level; development, applicability and use of urban sustainability indicators for urban planning; climate change related expertise on quality control and quality assurance of Mexico's greenhouse gases emissions inventory, and supervision of compliance of Mexico's Third National Communication with UNFCCC guidelines. I have also acted as member of the Mexican delegation to the UNFCCC's COP and COP/MOP.
Prior to joining ECI as a DPhil student I worked as Director of Air Quality at the Mexican Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT); as advisor to the Mexico's Program on Climate Change at the National Institute of Ecology; and as logistics coordinator of the MILAGRO project - the major air quality research project ever conducted on the local, regional and global impact of a megacity.
