Solar Schools
The solar schools project is being carried out in collaboration with the UK Solar Energy Society, and aims to survey schools and assess their demand for teaching resources on renewable energy subjects.
The project will examine how we can best support schools in teaching children to understand environmental issues. This may be through developing material for workshops (for children or teachers), or providing online reading material, or offering advice on solar PV installations within our schools.
Through this project schools will be made aware of energy and the environment, and children will be exposed to renewable technologies from an early age.
