Meeting Place - UK Energy Research Centre
The Meeting place forms the networking hub of the new UK Energy Research Centre, bringing together UK and international specialists to tackle the fundamental challenge of sustainable energy.
The first event was hosted in October 2004 on climate change metrics and emissions trading. Experts from a wide variety of disciplines and professions, including climate scientists and city traders, came to Oxford for two days to tackle this problem. Following this success, there have been further workshops and seminars throughout the year, including the G8 Energy Research and Innovation workshop in May 2005.
