Profile

Gabi is the Project and Events Officer at the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) within the ECI at Oxford University. She is responsible for providing organisational and logistical support for events and activities organised by the UKERC Meeting Place and the HiDEF Supergen team.

Gabi is responsible for delivering short meetings and events such as workshops or seminars, capacity development initiatives and more substantial research-focused activities such as extended visits or series of workshops. This involves everything from the event coordination with venues and steering committees, the website, registration, data management, clients liaison and facilitation at events. Her passion in life is bringing people together.

Gabi has been working for the meeting place since early 2007. In her previous role she managed the day to day running of a logistics department within the automotive industry. She also worked as a twinning officer organising events and general twinning function between Abingdon/Vale of White horse and its 5 twin towns.

She is fluent in German and has a good working knowledge of French. Gabi is German and has a degree in Business system management from the Fachhochschule Reutlingen, Germany. She has an English husband and 2 children.
