Dr Marina Corrêa Scalon

Postdoctoral Research Assistant on Plant Stoichiometry and Nutrient Cycling in Brazilian Biomes

Profile

Marina’s main research interest is to understand how species adapt to changes in the environment from a functional and ecophysiological perspective. She is particularly interested in studying the mechanisms by which plants display different ecological strategies to respond to environmental change, especially in the Neotropics. She is currently working on the BIO-RED project investigating variation in net primary productivity (NPP), nutrient use, and nitrogen fixation activity according to differences in soil nutrients, disturbance, and biomes.
