ECI Ecosystems Research ThemeProfile
Dr. Joshua B. Fisher is a research and teaching fellow in the Terrestrial Ecosystems Group within the Environmental Change Institute at Oxford University. He works across plant, ecosystem, global and social scales with a combination of field ecology, biometeorology, modelling, GIS, remote sensing and sociology. Dr. Fisher received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in Environmental Science, Policy & Management, and has worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA).
Current Projects
- Modelling nitrogen cycling in the UK Earth System model. [QUERCC, QUEST]
- Nutrient dynamics of the Peruvian Andes. Management of a large scale nitrogen and phosphorus fertilisation experiment along an elevation gradient from the cloud forest (3000 m) to the rain forest. [NERC]
- Modelling the land-atmosphere water flux.
