Profile

I am currently working on a project called ‘"Building expertise: a systems of professions approach to low-carbon housing refurbishment‘". This is funded by EPSRC and EDF within the People, Buildings and Energy programme and considers the future of eco-renovation in the UK and France, with a focus on the organisations and professions doing the renovation work. Other research interests include heat pumps and their future role in a low carbon economy, energy use within the higher education sector, personal carbon trading and demand reduction in general. My personal carbon trading research follows on from themes I developed in during my doctorate, which concerned personal carbon allowances as a policy for reducing carbon dioxide emissions from UK household energy use.

I have a personal interest in eco-renovation of homes, and there is a short film online about the work we have done on our house.

I currently work part-time and am at ECI on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
