Brite Green is an award winning sustainability strategy consultancy. We help companies reimagine their business models and practices by embedding sustainability into the way they see the world. From ensuring compliance with legislation to developing new innovative products, we work in partnership with our clients to provide the resource, perspective and expertise to realise competitive advantage through sustainable business practices.

The work we do is wide ranging but we have four main service areas:

  • Sustainability strategy: Identifying the critical sustainability issues for companies and incorporating sustainability into business strategy
  • Management systems: Designing, implementing and maintaining environmental management systems, including ISO 14001
  • Solution implementation: Assessing the options to improve sustainability performance and providing practical support to implement them
  • Sustainability reporting: Collecting, analysing and reporting sustainability data for customers

The types of projects we do ranges from one off pieces of analysis through to providing outsourced sustainability management for companies on an ongoing basis.

The type of companies we work with is really varied and includes manufacturers, advertising agencies and professional services companies. We have customers across the UK and US, ranging from medium sized companies to large listed Groups.

Project Details

We are looking for an entrepreneurial intern to join the team for 6-8 weeks during the summer of 2017. You will be responsible for researching the quality of sustainability management and performance of UK listed companies. Using our Sustainability Maturity Model, you will analyse companies and industry sectors. This will include researching companies' sustainability programmes and performance, collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, generating reports and other administrative tasks.

Analysing sustainability programmes and performance. As part of a project team, you will analyse the sustainability performance of companies and the strategic drivers for improved management. You will need to be able to collect and interpret a wide range of qualitative and quantitative data and information to input into our Sustainability Maturity Model.

Generating reports. A key part of the role is producing our maturity model reports which clearly communicate the research findings and present a comparative analysis of the industry.


Applicant Profile

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in sustainability and demonstrated knowledge of environmental management and business strategy.

You will have a good understanding of sustainability in businesses and will be adept in using research and analysis to identify ways to improve business practices through enhanced sustainability management. In addition, you will have excellent oral and written communications skills, being able to confidently and articulately convey results.

You will enjoy thinking creatively and have an analytical and enquiring mind. You will need to share, debate and critique ideas openly. You must be committed to sustainability and align with our core values of integrity, honesty and responsibility.
