Biodiversity and climate change

With increasing pressures on our environment as a result of climate change and anthropogenic impacts, our research aims to increase understanding of the complex human-climate-ecosystem interactions.

The Biodiversity Group in the ECI is at the forefront of integrating and improving techniques for observation and prediction of the environmental change of ecosystems and species.

We are using increasingly sophisticated satellite, photographic and modelling techniques to observe changes in distributions of species and ecosystems at local, regional and global scales.

The Biodiversity and Terrestrial Ecology Programme at the ECI forms part of the OUCE Biodiversity Research Cluster.
